This itinerary is recommended for people who want to visit the ancient ruins of Herculaneum, visit the towns of Sorrento and Positano on the Amalfi Coast.

Your English speaking driver will meet you at the Salerno port in the morning at 7:30am and will drive farther north where the first stop will be at the Archeological site of Herculaneum. Like you have heard about Herculaneum is much better preserved than Pompeii. In the Roman times it was considered like a resort village where all the wealthy families, rich merchants or Roman Senators built their summer Villas. Here you will spend about 1 and ½ hours to visit the ancient ruins on your own or hire an official licensed guide.

The next stop will be in Sorrento which is the pearl of the south of Italy. Sorrento is a town in the province of Naples with 16000 inhabitants but in the summer can get also 60000 with all the visitors. Here it is recommended to take a stroll through the narrow steets of the "Centro Storico" (Via San Cesareo and Via Fuoro) where you can find all the little stores to buy souvenirs and admire some ancient buildings of the 17th and 18th century.

The last stop will be in Positano, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Here we can also stop for lunch to taste the food specialties of the region and in the afternoon you will have some free time for shopping and explore the downtown of Positano.

The tour will finish at the Salerno port in the afternoon at 4:30pm.
