This day excursion is designed for people who don't want to miss the Archeological site of Pompeii and the beauties of the amazing city of Naples.
Your English speaking driver will pick you up at the Salerno port at 7:30am. The first stop will be in Pompeii where you will have 2 hours time to visit the highlights of these amazing ruins discovered only few centuries ago, because of the Catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius on August 24th in the 79AD. Here you can visit the ruins for 2 hours on your own or hire an official licensed guide.
Then the tour will continue to Naples the famous city where the real Pizza Margherita was born. Your driver will lead you in the downtown where you can admire stunning building like the Royal Palace, the Theatre San Carlo, the huge Piazza Plebiscito with the Cathedral of St. Ferdinand and Paul, the famous Bar called Gambrinus where you can taste the real sfogliatella (the typical cake of Naples).
The last stop will be at the National Archeological Museum where all the best artifacts coming from Pompeii and Herculaneum are preserved.
Here you will have 1 and ½ hours to visit the museum or you can decide to skip this visit and spend more time in the downtown and ask your driver to show you more sights about the city like a place that we call: "The postcard of Naples" because the view from there is out of the world.
