Places you will visit:
Your English speaking driver will pick you up at the Salerno port in the morning at 7:30am and will drive you for an unforgettable tour towards the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and you will have also the opportunity to hike the summit of Mount Vesuvius.
The first stop in the morning will be in Pompeii where you will spend 2 hours to visit the highlights of the ruins. Your driver will stop you at the main entrance called "Porta Marina" and from there you can start your visit walking through the Forum where is located the Basilica, some beautiful temples, the Macellum and Granai where you will find the plaster casts. Here you can visit the ruins for 2 hours on your own or hire an official licensed guide.
Then we will proceed to Herculaneum where you will spend 1 and ½ hours to visit the ruins. The smaller size of Herculaneum will be easily walking without the problem to get lost (like it can happen in Pompeii which is much bigger). In Herculaneum you can visit the ruins for 1 hour and 45 minutes on your own or hire an official licensed guide.
The last stop will be on the top of Mount Vesuvius, one of the most dangerous Volcano still active in Europe. Your driver will lead you until 3000 feets where is a big parking area and from there you can start to hike the summit of the crater. Don't expect to see any lava but sometimes the Volcano is steaming.
The tour will finish at the Salerno port at 4:30pm.
We only accept CASH payment in Euros at the end.
The price doesn't include lunch, gratuities, entrance fees for Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius and the licensed guide in Pompeii and Herculaneum.
The price include taxes, parking tolls and fuel.
-The entrance in Pompeii is 18 Euros per person and Herculaneum is 13 Euros per person (but it is free of charge for kids under 18 only showing a valid ID)
-Entrance fees for Mount Vesuvius is 10 Euros p. p. and tickets are purchasable exclusively online at least 1 month before on the website: https://vesuviopark.vivaticket.it
