This shore excursion is designed for people who want to visit the ruins of Pompeii and the stunning Amalfi Coast.
Your English speaking driver will pick you up at the Sorrento port in the morning at 8:30am from the tender boat of your cruise ship.
The first stop will be in Pompeii where you will spend 2 hours to visit the ancient Roman town that it was totally buried by a thick carpet of volcanic ash during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the 79AD. Here you can hire an official licensed guide or you can walk in the ruins on your own.
After we will drive you through the local Mountain range called:"Monti Lattari" before to start the drive down to the stunning Amalfi Coast. The first stop will be in Amalfi that is considered the Capital of this amazing Coastline. Famous in the past for its trade in the Mediterranen now Amalfi represent a very touristy town where you can find beautiful stores, bars and can visit also the famous Church of St. Andrew.
The next stop will be in Positano where we can also stop for lunch and try our typical food specialties of the Campania region (like Pizza, home made pasta, Caprese salad, gnocchi and many other courses).
In the afternoon you will be given some free time to visit the downtown of Positano which is considered now the jewel of the Amalfi Coast before to return at the Sorrento port in the afternoon at about 4:30pm.
We only accept cash payment in Euros.
The price doesn't include lunch, gratuities, entrance fees for Pompeii ruins and the licensed guide in Pompeii.
The price included taxes, parking tolls and fuel.
The entrance in Pompeii is 18 Euros per person (but it is free of charge for kids under 18 only showing a valid ID).
Please note that the order of the places included in the itinerary can be altered during the high season (especially in June, July and August) for traffic issues.

All our drivers are trained to offer a running commentary about the history, local customs and culture of each site but only inside the vehicle infact if you wish to have someone that will walk with you in the sites (like the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum or the National Archeological Museum in Naples), you must arrange an official licensed guide.
